Operations Manager

Straco Group is a Doncaster & London based agency, we work with leading clients to help recruit talented individuals for brands across retail design, interiors, point of sale, exhibitions and visual merchandising. We are currently looking for new talent to join our team in Doncaster.

 

The successful candidate will be a proactive and self-motivated professional who will work closely with the Directors in overseeing the effective development of the team and the business in a highly varied role. A key skill required will be the ability to adapt quickly to new working practices in this fast-paced environment.

 

Job Role

 

  • Offer a comprehensive training package for new starters
  • Deliver Structure throughout the business
  • Become a guru of eploy/database and feedback any changes to the team
  • Hold one to ones with recruiters to maintain processes and develop their skills further
  • Document meetings and take minutes
  • Oversee an already established admin team of two
  • Support consultants, management, and the marketing team
  • Manage the day to day running of the team
  • Organising the Recruitment Director and keep him focused on sales
  • Attend client meetings with recruiters when required
  • Oversee the sales team and assist them in hitting their targets
  • Help the marketing team organise exhibitions and attend when necessary
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Answering phone calls, transferring calls, and taking messages
  • General upkeep of the office
  • Maintain the in-house database
  • Accounts experience – payroll experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Support the team in maintaining accurate, timely and legible records
  • Attend and take part in regular employee reviews
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties when required
  • Ensure the smooth running of all office requirements such as IT and telephone systems and database
  • Attend relevant industry functions for the likes of NAS, AEO and POPAI
  • Assist in HR management and the maintenance of employee records
  • Effectively deal with any relevant queries in an appropriate and timely manner

Skills and Experience

  • Highly proficient at all Microsoft Office applications with a working knowledge of CRM systems and databases
  • Extremely organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management and a flexible approach to work
  • A positive and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Confident in dealing with people at all levels
  • A dynamic and hands-on team player who thrives under pressure
  • Driving license and own transport are essential

  • Ability to make a good brew, preferably using Yorkshire Tea
  • Skills of a lion tamer, the office dog can be unruly sometimes

  • Ping Pong skills would be advantageous, our MD was the ping pong champion of his village between 1986 to 1990

Recruitment Consultant

Straco Group is a Doncaster based boutique recruiter who work with leading clients across many markets, including retail design, interiors, point of sale, events and exhibitions, matching them with the best talent.

 

Now looking for a self-motivated and hardworking Recruitment Consultant to join our team, you will be working on temporary opportunities. Your role will involve the sourcing of candidates, developing business opportunities with clients and marketing your assigned desk appropriately. This opportunity will be all warm leads, using the existing in-house database, with occasional business development.

 

Job Role

 

  • Build and establish close working relationships with both clients and candidates within the specified market; ensuring long lasting relationships are retained for repeat business
  • Generate leads by telephone, and face to face, to establish new contacts and understand their recruitment requirements
  • Compile accurate job specifications that reflect client needs and requirements
  • Collate feedback from clients/employers on the service provided by us
  • Co-ordinate interviews and preparing shortlisted candidates for the process

We are now looking for a talented Account Executive to manage and develop accounts. You will support both clients and candidates in finding recruitment solutions that meet the needs of the business and the individual.

 

  • Source suitable candidates for clients within their specific industry
  • Generate pro-active sales by telephone and face to face to establish new contacts and understand their recruitment requirements
  • Compile accurate job specifications that reflect client needs and requirements
  • Clarify and negotiate salary and benefits relating to specific roles
  • Negotiate fees and terms and conditions with clients
  • Headhunt suitable candidates by identifying and approaching suitable candidates to meet job specifications
  • Build and establish close working relationships with both the clients and candidates within the specified market
