We’re working with a fantastic Creative Design and Manufacturing company, with over 40 years’ experience in the retail manufacturing industry.

They’re currently looking for Development Designer, to deliver various retail VM/POS development and design campaigns.

Job Role

• CAD design and development of VM/POS displays, packaging and component, from concept through to production
• Work closely with internal departments and suppliers, to deliver engineering design and problem-solving activities for projects
• Create supporting development documentation
• Keep all relevant parties up to date on the project status
• Assist the Project/Account Managers in client meetings on design ideas and concepts
• Develop hand calculations and spreadsheets, to support project development
• Oversee prototype build and manufacture
• Quality check finished products

Skills and Experience

• Highly proficient in the use of Solidworks
• A relevant qualification / manufacturing background
• Excellent engineering problem-solving and numeracy skills
• Enthusiastic and personable, with a keen eye for detail
• A team player, able to work independently also
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
• Full driving license
• Experience in a 2D CAD packages is advantageous also
