About

Our client is one of Europe’s leading designers and producers of Instore Communication and Retail Furniture and is highly recognised across the globe. With over 50 years’ experience the business has won numerous prestigious awards throughout their time, working with several of the world’s top 100 brands.

Now looking for an experienced Head of Business Development to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will come from within a sales and new business capacity in the Point of Purchase and Retail Interiors industry.

Job Role

  • Identifying and agreeing prioritised target clients for new business and business development opportunities
  • Contacting key personnel within our agreed prospect clients
  • Qualifying the prospect and obtaining future projects appropriate to the sales strategy communicated
  • Keeping assigned contacts and relevant information fully up to date on the database
  • Attending Trade exhibitions and Networking events – once agreed with the Sales and Marketing Director
  • Attending briefing meetings, follow up and progress meetings with clients and the account team as required
  • Achieving sales targets set and agreed with the Sales & Marketing Director
  • Generating and making high level presentations to prospect clients
  • Ensuring that both our internal & external communication is clear and thorough
  • Controlling single/multiple tenders and pitches

Skills and Experience

  • Well proven experience of successful selling within design, pop, and retail interior industries motivated to introduce new major clients
  • Self-confident and able to make an immediate impact in terms of growing our business
  • Good communication, organisation and networking skills
  • International experience and any foreign languages would be an advantage
  • A dynamic ability to drive the commercial success of accounts
  • Good attention to detail
  • Capable of running multiple projects on both a national and European basis

Benefits

There will be a salary of £45k – £55k plus a car allowance depending on the experience of the successful candidate.
