HR Manager

About

Our client is a leading integrated agency, specialising in retail, branding, and advertising. Their talented and hard-working team delivers high-quality retail interior and architectural design, retail graphics and brand identity projects to a variety of well-known blue-chip clients.

They’re now looking for an experienced HR Manager to join the team. You will be responsible for all aspects of HR, including employee relations, learning and development, recruitment, and benefits management.

You will cover HR for both the London and East Midlands studios. So travel between the two will be required, travel expenses will be covered by the company.

This role will suit an experienced HR Manager, or an HR Advisor looking to step up into a new role.

Job Role

  • Manage complex employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, dispute resolutions, grievances, absence management, performance management, redundancy, and retirement
  • Develop and review company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks
  • Manage the employee life cycle, from initial recruitment, onboarding, through to offboarding
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and advising senior management on relevant employment laws and best practice
  • Experience developing reward strategies and other initiatives to boost employee engagement and retention
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection processes, including liaising with candidates and recruiters, writing job descriptions, issuing offer letters / contracts and carrying out RTW checks
  • Develop HR strategies, with a focus on diversity & inclusion, learning & development, and wellbeing

Skills and Experience

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified, or working towards this
  • Capable and confident working in a standalone role
  • Good initiative and proactive, with strong ethical values
  • Able to communicate well at all levels and build trust
  • Able to nurture and manage organisational change
  • Confident working both independently and collaboratively
  • Solid time management and organisation skills
  • Sound, up to date understanding of current UK employment law and best practice
  • Proven experience at both a strategic and operational level
  • Previous experience in a creative industry is advantageous, but not essential
