Established for over 30 years, our client offers in-store fixtures and promotions direct to the end users; offering in-house design, production and manufacturing all under one roof.

They specialise in creating innovative merchandising solutions, predominantly in the cosmetics and beauty sectors, ranging from high-end luxury beauty brands, through to mass market retailers.

They’re currently looking to add a Junior / Graduate Development Designer to the team. You’ll be surrounded by like-minded experts, to share and build upon experience and expertise, to delight the clients.

Job Role

• Work within the Technical Development Design team, helping to bring the latest innovative retail and POS concept designs to reality
• Be an integral and valued member of the design team, supporting at every level of the design process
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic industry, demonstrating good CAD skills and rigorous attention to detail
• An interest in manufacturing processes and ideally experience designing for disciplines such as vac forming, acrylic fabrication, injection-moulding, sheet metalwork, timber carcass, illumination, solid surface and additive manufacture

Skills and Experience

• A relevant degree such as Industrial / Product Design
• Excellent CAD skills and good discipline using Solidworks, Adobe CS and AutoCAD
• An interest in retail, fashion, branding & marketing and identifying new trends in these areas
• A team player, adaptable and always prepared to help
• Passionate about design and innovation
• Self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving skills
• Able to contribute meaningful ideas and take on board suggestions constructive feedback
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and visually
• A true creative, able to come up with innovative, eye-catching work
