About

Our client is a leading integrated agency, specialising in retail, branding and advertising. Their talented and hard-working team deliver high quality retail interior and architectural design, retail graphics and brand identity projects, to a variety of well-known blue-chip clients.

Now looking for a strategic Planner, with a background in communications to join their team. You’ll play an integral part in the planning across a varied range of integrated campaigns. You work alongside the Client Services and Creative teams to ensure creative ideas are effectively integrated across relevant channels to meet the client’s needs and objectives.

Job Role

  • Play a key role in building trusted relationships with clients, leading day to day planning across a range of accounts
  • Think analytically, translating an idea through to the appropriate channels
  • Support the Strategy and Creative leads in ensuring the team’s creative ideas make the most effective use of an integrated mix of earned, owned, and paid channels, using targeted media and technology
  • Work closely with the clients’ owned channel teams, ensuring ideas are effectively executed across social, PR and other channels
  • Support media agency partners on key accounts, ensuring ideas are executed through the proper mix of paid/owned/earned channels
  • Create the communications tasks for each campaign, writing task briefs tailored to each channel
  • Use analytics to read and analyse campaign metrics and insights to improve comms effectiveness
  • Demonstrate an understanding of digital, social and emerging platforms
  • Showcase an understanding of consumer behaviours across a range of media including TV, digital, social, print and experimental

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in comms planning, media planning, digital strategy, or a similar role
  • Expertise in developing digital, social and experiential marketing plans would be a big bonus
  • Strong understanding and proven experience in an advertising, digital or media agency
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent working knowledge of integrated advertising campaigns across multiple media channels, paired with the ability to demonstrate the impact on the brand
  • Strong analytics skills, with an understanding of analysing campaign performance
  • A good listener, confident to share their opinions and help the team progress
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Able to work collaboratively, coaching and developing team members
