Sales Team Manager

About

Our client creates quality display solutions for retailers, exhibitors and interior designers globally and they are now seeking a Sales Team Manager.

This role is predominantly a people management role, you will understand the sales process, but you will not be involved in direct sales – that is what your team are here for. You are responsible for ensuring that your team have the right working environment, tools, information, training, coaching and drive to reach the targets you have set them.

  • Inspire your team to be “go getting” sales driven individuals, who thrive on reaching sales targets
  • Day to day liaison between the sales team and the Directors
  • Line manage all internal sales and sales administration team members
  • Provide any technical advice and information as requested
  • Produce reports as directed/requested by the Directors
  • Demonstrate understanding of sales figures and review bench marking regularly
  • Responsible for recruitment, induction and training of new team members
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to improve customer service levels
  • Set sales targets for the team and ensure that new leads are qualified before being distributed
  • Ensure the sales database is updated immediately and all administrative duties are carried out
  • To develop sales and prospecting strategies that will develop new clients and additional spend
  • Ensure the team prepares quality quotations and follow up any enquiries in a timely manner
  • Leads are given out and existing clients are redeployed in the best interests of the company

Skills and Experience

  • Good project, planning, change and time management capabilities
  • Proven sales track record, with a desire to develop your team
  • Excellent financial understanding
  • Proven experience in the same or similar industry
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written – internal and external
  • Articulate and able to liaise with all levels
  • A high level of client relationship skills and customer ethics
  • Experience in working in a client focused environment
  • High degree of attention to detail and a desire for high quality output
  • Good understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Work with little supervision – to keep motivated and focused on delivery
  • Ability to mentor, nurture and motivate team members
