They currently have an opportunity for a Design Engineer to join their dynamic and ever growing company. You will be responsible for owning the design and making it your responsibility to deliver it to the best quality possible.

Job Role

• Support Head of Design Engineering and Design Engineering Team Leaders to produce POS/POP engineered designs
• Work closely with Team Leaders, Creative and Estimating to deliver project on-time, in full and to the brand standards
• Working closely the in-house sample shop and pre-production departments, timely manner, to develop mock-ups and material samples for technical review
• Build full BOM with full drawings packs for in-house and sub-contract manufacture
• Maintaining Bill of Materials using Product Data Management software
• Working closely with Estimating for cost and value engineering
• Post-production analysis with technical team to discuss learnings for future projects
• Post-production analysis of product against business targets and profitability

Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Solidworks
• Knowledge across all Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong eye and good attention to detail
• Professional user on Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Work on own initiative and ability to work under pressure including being proactive in identifying concerns, exploring and planning solutions
• Strong team player but also having the ability and confidence to work alone
• Trained to degree standard in a 3D creative/technical field, product design, and design engineering or similar
• Experience in the POS/POP and shop fitting industry is a must and proven experience in technical design
• Approximately 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
