Our client is a multi-award-winning creative design and manufacture company. They specialise in bespoke window displays, pop-ups, in-store solutions, and events, from design through to installation.

They’re looking to add an experienced Technical Designer to the team. To fit this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, a keen creative eye and strong knowledge of retail design.

You’ll need a keen eye for storytelling, trend-led thinking, and the technical skills to bring ideas to life – from concept through to detailed manufacturing drawings. Experience in window displays, pop-ups, and brand activations is a plus, along with a solid understanding of materials, machinery and production processes.

Job Role

• Able to develop design concepts into detailed technical drawings
• Demonstrates experience across a wide range of projects and sectors, from luxury to high street retail, including window displays, pop-ups, and shop fits
• Collaborates closely with Project and Production Managers to understand client requirements and material specifications
• Strong technical drawing skills supported by a solid knowledge of production methods and material usage
• Produces clear, accurate technical drawings and comprehensive production packs outlining manufacturing methods and materials
• Prepares and sends organised, machine-ready files (e.g. for CNC) with clear instructions
• Confident in communicating with suppliers and maintains strong working relationships with workshop and production teams

Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of SketchUp / Vetrics / V Carve / V Ray
• Ideally you’ll also have knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Organised and able to plan and prioritise
• Flexible with excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of materials and manufacture processes
• CNC Programming would be beneficial
