They are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing activity across multiple sites in Leicester. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, and maintaining high standards across quality, cost control, and compliance.

You will be responsible for managing the full production lifecycle of POS and retail display projects, working across a variety of materials including cardboard, acrylic, metal, and wood, while coordinating both internal production and external suppliers.

Job Role

• Oversee end-to-end production of POS and retail display projects
• Plan and manage production schedules aligned to strict client deadlines
• Ensure all outputs meet quality, specification, and brand standards
• Coordinate internal manufacturing and external suppliers for outsourced work
• Manage supply chain activity, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Monitor budgets, cost control, and production efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement across processes and operations
• Ensure full Health & Safety compliance across all sites
• Recruit, develop, and lead production teams
• Work closely with project and leadership teams to ensure smooth delivery

Skills and Experience

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment (ideally retail displays / POS)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (print, CNC, plastics, fabrication, vac forming, metalwork, joinery)
• Excellent organisational and multi-project management skills
• Strong leadership and communication ability
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
