Account Manager

About

Our client is a global, full-service agency specialising in a variety of markets including entertainment, sports, music & FMCG.

They are now looking to add an Account Manager to the team. You’ll be responsible for the management of client relationships and business. Taking POS/POP projects from brief, through to delivery. You’ll need sound knowledge of production processes and excellent crisis management skills.

This role can be based at either the London or East Midlands office, but it will involve travel to meet the client’s requirements.

Job Role

  • Attend client meetings and take briefs, discussing ideas and obtaining relevant information from clients
  • Ensure that you respond to all client quotation requests promptly and accurately
  • Support the Account Director in all financial requirements
  • Maintain a project tracker spreadsheet and ensure all documentation is kept up to date
  • Resolve any client quality issues
  • Stay up to date with market / industry trends
  • Ensure that the Account Director is immediately made aware of any issues that arise, so the team can collectively decide how to react
  • Support and nurture the more junior members of the team
  • Ensure clear and concise communications, between the client and the internal teams
  • Identify and implement best working practices
  • Travel to meet the client’s requirements

Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience selling into retailer / brands by working within a POS/POP agency, marketing agency or client side
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, to effectively manage client relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of Retail Marketing and POS, POP would be a bonus
  • Excellent project management skills and crisis management
  • Keen eye for detail and able to work to tight deadlines and budgets
  • Highly numerate, with strong reporting skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of social media and its impact on the brand
  • The ability to generate new business opportunities
  • An understanding of production and supply chain
  • Previous experience & understanding of TTL/ABL marketing companies would be desirable
  • Experience in managing a small team
